Board the Miss Munising, a 60's coast guard certified steel vessel equipped with a hull glass viewing area, to explore a 150' intact wooden hulled schooner which met its demise back in the 1880's. Grand Island's beautiful rock formations and the East Channel Lighthouse are just two of the additional sites you will see.

Spirit of LaSalle Cruise Line, 737 First Street, Menominee, MI 49858, Phone: (906) 864-9330. This is a new passenger ferry service that will connect Menominee, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The two-boat service will run from mid-May to mid-October. The boats are: The Spirit of LaSalle, a 115-foot vessel that carries 149 passengers, and the Isle Royale Queen, an 80-foot boat that carries 100 passengers. The cruise line also offers 2-hour cruises around the bay, as well as charter services for groups. You can get full service details by going to their website or calling them by phone.

Tahquamenon Falls Riverboat Tours & Toonerville Trolley, Soo Junction Road, CO Road 381, Soo Junction, MI 49868, Phone: (906) 876-2311. Features two different tour opportunities. The first tour is a full day (6 1/2 hours) historical wilderness tour. First ride the Toonerville Trolley an authentic narrow gauge train which takes passengers 5 1/2 miles through thick forest, the home of many types of wildlife and birds. Once the train arrives at the river board a 200 passenger riverboat for a 21 mile a narrated cruise. The boat docks at the head of the rapids above the falls for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Passengers may then do the nature hike ( 5/8 of a mile each way) to our private view of the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. Then return to the riverboat, cruse back to the train, and return to Soo Junction. Departs 10:30 AM return 5:00 PM. Food, beverages and restrooms are available on board. The second tour is 1 3/4 hour Wilderness Train Ride. Travel on the country's longest 24 inch (narrow gauge) railroad to the end of the line where a stopover is made for switching. Enjoy a scenic view of the river. Snack bar and restrooms available at the stopover, and return. Along the way use our provided tree guide to learn about area timber types and uses. The second tour does not go to the Falls.
